Robert Gerald Bohn, 86, Vero Beach

Robert Gerald Bohn, 86, of Vero Beach, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.

Bohn was born April 9, 1925, in Port Washington, N.Y., and moved to Fort Pierce 32 years ago from Redding.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth and his career led him to become CEO and chairman of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corp. in Danbury, Conn.

Bohn was member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sebastian and a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy Air Corps.

He was a member of the Bent Pine Golf Club and The Moorings Club in Vero Beach.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jackie Bohn, of Vero Beach, daughters Jocelyn Whyte, of Bridgewater, New Hampshire, Vicki-Lee Felis, of Stowe, Vt., and Cynthia B. Robertson of Newton, Conn.; a son David G. Bohn, of Redding, Conn., nineteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 123 Thunderbird Drive, Sebastian, FL 32958.

Bohn will be transferred to the Emmons Funeral Home in Plymouth, N.H., for final services.
