Ted H. Hodge, 81, of Vero Beach, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Hodge was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Bristol, Tenn.
He had been a resident of Vero Beach and Greenwich, Conn.
He attended the United States Military Academy.
He graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Columbia University.
He served two years in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Baffin Island, Canada.
Before his retirement, Hodge was a senior executive with IBM.
He served as the vice president of development and board member for the Greenwich Family YMCA in Greenwich, Conn.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda; son, Doug Hodge, of Laguna Beach, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for Greenwich, Conn., in June.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
