Harbor Branch Volunteer Reunion set for April 15

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Friends Program at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute (HBOI) is hosting its inaugural Volunteer Reunion at Harbor Branch on Friday, April 15, during National Volunteer Week.

This will be the first reunion of Harbor Branch volunteers since the inception of the Volunteer Program.  The program began with a single volunteer working in the HBOI library, and in 1988 the Public Affairs Office began to actively recruit volunteers to work in various departments.

Since then, more than 500 volunteers have donated their time and expertise to Harbor Branch, some for more than 20 years. While the faces have changed over the years, with some volunteers moving on because of changes in their lives, new volunteers continue to join the Harbor Branch family.

All past and present, active and inactive volunteers are invited to attend.

Reservations are requires as space is limited.

RSVP to Patti Gibbons, (772) 242-2559.
