Betty Haire, 90, died March 26, 2011.
She was born in Toronto and lived in Vero Beach for 53 years, coming from Fort Dodge, Iowa.
She graduated from Fort Dodge High School and attended Mount Mary College in Milwaukee.
She and her husband started the George Mason Land Co. and were active in its operations.
She was a homemaker for many years and was active in charitable organizations.
Survivors include her son, John; daughter, Peggy Laval; three grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Comisky; and husband, John Haire Jr.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge.
