John Marsh Hopkins, 81, died March 16, 2011, at 1325 49th Ave., Vero Beach.
He was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Cocoa Beach in 2008.
Hopkins received his bachelor’s degree from Rollins College, Winter Park and was a senior software engineer for the space program.
He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Hopkins, of Vero Beach; daughter, Marty Nunez; stepdaughter Valerie Risher; sister Eleanor Sisson; grandson Javier Nunez; granddaughter Daniela Nunez.
Memorial services will be 5:30 p.m., March 24, 2011, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
