Jacob A. “Jake” Hains, 89, died March 13, 2011.
He was born in Bloomingburg, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach since 2007, coming from Barefoot Bay.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II.
He was a lifetime member of the Micco Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Donna; sister, Mary F. Messinger, of Mason, Ohio; and brothers, Robert, of Modesto, Calif., and Phil, of Bloomingburg.
He was preceded in death by a sister Helen, of California; and brothers William, of Washington Court House, Ohio, and Charles, of Milford, Ohio.

Graveside inurnment will be at 2:30 p.m. March 23 at Fountainhead Memorial Park, Palm Bay.
