Become a Yoga Change Agent and benefit local charities

VERO BEACH — Become a Yoga Change Agent starting Monday, February 28 at Vero Beach’s newest Yoga studio; you don’t even have to touch your toes.

Shelley Adelle, the founder of The Yoga Pagoda in the Modern One Building on Miracle Mile in Vero Beach, had one goal in mind when crafting her new business – to passionately serve the dynamic and growing community of Vero Beach. Therefore she is offering three donation based yoga classes every single week.  100% of the proceeds will be donated annually to make an impact locally.

The beneficiaries of this community effort will be Indian River Habitat for Humanity; Hibiscus Children’s Center; The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County; and TLC Newborn, a program of the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition.

The Yoga Pagoda will host three “Karma Classes” Mondays from 6 to 7:30 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5 pm, all strictly donation based.

People may confidentially give $1 or they may give $100, with 100% of donations going directly into four local non-profits chosen due to the direct connections by staff members.

What should a yoga change agent know?

•           If you can breathe, you can do yoga;

•           All levels are welcome;

•           Wear comfortable clothes;

•           Practice is barefoot or in socks;

•           Bring a yoga mat or rent one for $1;

•           Arrive fifteen minutes early to sign in and set up.

All levels of yoga friends are invited to participate, without concern about being able to bend into a pretzel.
