INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at FAU will present Lee Frey, Exploring the Peru-Chile Trench, at the next Ocean Science Lecture, Wednesday, March 9. The Peru-Chile trench lies on the Pacific side of South America and plunges to staggering depths of over 25,000 feet. Lee Frey will share some of the exciting discoveries that were made during an expedition to this relatively unexplored area.
The winter lecture series is presented every Wednesday (January 12 – March 23) at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. An opportunity to meet the speaker, appetizer buffet and cash bar follow the presentation.
The lectures are open to the public, free of charge and reservations are not required.
