HABITAT: Welcome to ‘I’d Hammer in the Morning’

Welcome to my little corner of the Blogosphere. . .

Here’s where you’ll find out some things about Indian River Habitat for Humanity you might not otherwise know.

It’s our amazing people who make us what we are – which is – I am quite proud to tell you – one of the most successful and respected of all Habitat’s affiliates – worldwide.

But a lot of the really cool things happen quietly, on a day-to-day basis, as our volunteers, our staff, our sponsors, our homebuyers and homeowners live their lives and do their jobs as part of the Habitat family.

Here’s a simple but really important thing to always keep in mind about Habitat – We build houses WITH – not FOR – qualified families in need.

Which means potential homeowners have to pay their down payments, their insurance and be able to pay their mortgage payments, as well.

Good idea, don’t you think?
