Humane Society to host talk on helping pets with allergies Feb. 16

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Does your pet seem to have an itch he or she just can’t seem to scratch?

If that’s the case, veterinarian Jeffrey Slade of Sebastian Animal Hospital will be presenting “Helping Pets with Allergies,” a candid discussion about symptoms, common allergens as well as current treatments for pets suffering from allergies.

“Helping Pets with Allergies” will be presented on Wednesday, Feb. 16 from Noon to 1 p.m. at The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach.

Admission is free but seating is limited, so call (772) 388-3331 ext. 18 to reserve space.

The Humane Society is asking attendees to bring gently used blankets, sheets and towels and/or newspapers, pet food and toys, if possible.

The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping and protecting the animals of Indian River County.
