INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Faster than a high shutter speed, the new Indian River Photo Club Board of Directors has planned an eventful year. Sure to interest beginning photographers and professionals alike, the monthly meetings, held from 7 to 9 p.m. the 4th Thursday of the month at the Vero Beach Community Center, cover topics ranging from Black & White Photography to Travel Photography to Creative Portraits. In addition, the monthly members’ contests are designed to test the photographers’ mettle. Photo ops also abound this year: field trips to local events, special outings to restricted places, and bus trips to places like the Miami Zoo and St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Bird Rookery.
There are workshops available also, which generally present how-to advice, such as how to get good composition, how to use Photoshop, etc. Guests are welcome at the monthly meetings. Visit www.irphotoclub.org for more details.
