Main Street to host Downtown Friday on Feb. 25

VERO BEACH — Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler is Cajun French and the translation is “Let the Good Times Roll.”  That is the plan when Main Street Vero Beach celebrates Mardi Gras with the February 25 Downtown Friday Street Party. Main Street invites you to enjoy the sounds of Category Five and The Storm Horns. Recognized as one of the Treasure Coast’s premier Blues and R&B Band, they play a variety of music and are known for leaving audiences “Blown Away.”

Along with the music, there will be Mardi Gras themed food, soda, Southern Eagle beverages and wine. This event features craft and business vendors as well as community booths along 14th Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets.

During the band breaks, party goers will be entertained by a martial arts demonstration and Artistry in Motion Dance Studio.  This is an event for the whole family.  Kids will have their own fun at the Bounce House and Mask Making.

Main Street Vero Beach will be launching its annual Membership Drive with several special activities including the “The March on Main Street.”

The MSVB Design Committee is raffling off various items to raise funds for beautification projects in Downtown.  Current projects include more hibiscus flowers in the Man Street Designated Area and flower baskets for the lampposts.

Vendor applications are available at www.mainstreetverobeach.org.  Visit the Main Street office to see a map and layout of the street party, and book early for the best spots.
