Frances Fennell Harlow, 94, Vero Beach

Frances Fennell Harlow, 94, died Jan. 31, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.

She was born in Red Apple Orchard, Va., and she lived in Vero Beach, coming from Wingina, Va.

Before retiring, she worked as a certified psychiatric assistant at the Lynchburg Training School in Lynchburg, Va.

She attended First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach.

Survivors include her son, Donald Wayne Fennell, of Vero Beach; sister, Hazel Wright, of Silver Springs, Md.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Samson Fennell Sr.; second husband, Willie B. “Jack” Harlow; son, Darrell Fennell; four brothers; and four sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 7 at First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach, with Dr. Charles Lever officiating.

A reception will follow in the Christian Life Center.

Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
