County high school thespians present AIDS fund-raising event

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — On Friday, Jan. 21, at 7:30 p.m., the Indian River County High School Thespians will present The Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Fundraising Event at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center at 1707 16th Street, Vero Beach.

This performance will include award-winning acting and musical selections performed by students of the Indian River Charter High School, Saint Edward’s School, Sebastian River High School and Vero Beach High School Competition Theatre Troupes.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations.

By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theatre community, since 1988 BC/EFA has raised over $195 million for essential services for people with AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States.

Tickets for this one-night engagement are $10 and available at the door beginning one hour before the event. Concessions and other items will be available for sale in the lobby at intermission and before and after the performance.

All of the proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
