Lucy T. Hope, 70, Vero Beach

Lucy T. Hope, 70, died Dec 22, 2010, in Kirkland, Wash.

She was born in Linneus, Mo., and lived in Vero Beach since 2001, coming from New Jersey.

She retired as chief operating officer of Penn Federal Bank.

She was a member of the Vero Beach Yacht Club, the Club at Pointe West and Chapter HB of P.E.O., a women’s philanthropic educational organization, of which she was a past president.

She was also a Florida master gardener.

She graduated from Union University in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in history.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; son John Tinker, of Redmond, Wash.; daughter, Dorothy Tinker Stiles, of Shrewsbury, Mass.; stepsons, Richard, Thomas and Christopher Hope, all of Vero Beach, brothers, Harold, Philip and Gail Turner, all of Missouri; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 15 at Community Church of Vero Beach.

Memorial services also will be in Summit, N.J., and Linneus.

Interment will be in Linneus.
