Dorothy A. Flanagan, 86, Vero Beach

Dorothy A. Flanagan, 86, died Dec. 15, 2010, at her home.

She was born in Rock Rift, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Greensboro, N.C.

She worked for the FBI, Bakelite Corp., and Rockland County Court in New York.

She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach as well as a former member of the Polish Club, the Italian Club and was a current member of the Vero Beach Women’s Club.

Survivors include her sons, Hugh Flanagan, of Oswego, N.Y., and Tim Flanagan, of Gig Harbor, Wash.; daughter, Doreen Joseph, of Rochelle Park, N.J.; brothers, Donald Hendrickson, of Bellingham, Wash., and Ray Hendrickson, of Highland Mills, N.Y.; sister, Kay Thompson, of Horseheads, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Helen Catholic Church, 2085 Tallahassee Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Services: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 30 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
