Joseph B. Whiteman, 81, of Sebastian, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born April 18, 1929, in Lincoln, Ill., and was resident of Sebastian for 10 years coming from Vero Beach.
Whiteman was a veteran who served in the US Army.
He worked for R. L. Polk Publishing Company and Blue Cross – Blue Shield as a sales manager.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Lucy Whiteman, of Sebastian; sons Paul Whiteman, of Atlanta, Ga., and Micahel Whiteman, of Hawaii; daughter Joanne Maloney, of Atlanta, Ga.; brother Robert Whiteman, of Middletown, Ill; sister Peggy Dobey, of Middletown, Ill; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister Gloria Mae Whiteman.
Services will be held privately.
