Amy Lillian Joie, 100, Vero Beach,

Amy Lillian Joie, 100, of Vero Beach, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

Joie was born July 22, 1910, in New York City and moved to Vero Beach in 1974 from Farmingdale, Long Island, N.Y.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach and had been a seamstress in her early years.

She had a talent for playing the piano “by ear.”

Survivors include her daughter Dotty Meiser, of Vero Beach; son Clement T. Joie, Jr. of Massapequa, N.Y.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clement Thomas Joie, Sr.

The family received friends 4-7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29, at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.

Her life celebration service was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30, with Pastor Andrew C. “Jack” Diehl of Our Savior Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
