Cozutter Schofield, 87, Gifford

Cozutter Schofield, 87, died Nov. 14, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.

She was born in Calhoun County, and had lived in Gifford and Indian River County for 63 years, coming from Madison. She was a member of the Church of God Tabernacle True Holiness Church, where she served as church mother and missionary.

Survivors include her son, Theodore Schofield Jr., of Vero Beach; daughters, Dorothy Harris, of Winter Beach, Edith Schofield, of Vero Beach, Loretta Schofield, of Sebastian, Ginger Schofield-Major, of Palm Bay, and Vicky Schofield, Ricky Schofield, and Sheila A. Rolle, all of Vero Beach; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Schofield; and brother, Adell Brown.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 19 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel, Gifford. A service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 20 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Gifford. Burial will follow in Gifford Cemetery. Arrangements are by Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel.
