Alverta M. Gillard, 89, died Nov. 14, 2010.
She was born in Mikado, Mich., and had been a resident of Vero Beach and Florida for 30 years, coming from Harrisville, Mich. Before retirement, she was a registered nurse and the owner of Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville.
She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Vero Beach, and a member of the Retired Registered Nurse Association.
Survivors include her daughters, Terry Senical, of Vero Beach, and Rita Zeblin of Port St. Lucie; sons, Lyle Jamieson, of Traverse City, Mich., and Werner Jamieson, of Ashburn, Va.; sister, Sharron Plienaitis, of New Baltimore, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wallace Jamieson, of Detroit, and Robert Gillard, of Spruce, Mich. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Vero Beach, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 19 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Vero Beach with a reception to follow.
