Food Drive at this month’s Screen on the Green

VERO BEACH — Pointe West and the Indian River County Recreation Department is promoting a Food Drive to benefit the Harvest Food & Outreach Center at their popular outdoor movie event Screen on the Green, 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 20.

This month’s Screen on the Green features some fire-breathing fun with presentation of the recently released DreamWorks hit, “How to Train Your Dragon”, rated PG.

In addition to free family entertainment, this month’s event will also feature a food drive, just in time for Thanksgiving.  The Harvest Food & Outreach Center will be the beneficiary of the food drive and all items donated will go to their Emergency Food Box Program for residents of Indian River County.

Arrive early with a non-perishable food item and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win a gift basket full of prizes for the entire family.

Don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs with you to enjoy an evening under the stars.

You can pack your own picnic or visit the concession area.  As always, admission is free and alcohol is prohibited.

Pointe West is located just minutes west of the Indian River Mall on State Road 60.
