OBA presents $8,700 check to American Cancer Society

VERO BEACH — On October 13, the Merchants of the Oceanside Business Association held their first annual Shopping for a Cure day.  Over 45 Stores on the Barrier Island joined in on the event, raising $8,700 for the American Cancer Society for cancer research.

Throughout the day, a portion of the sales from each merchant was earmarked for the ACS and its Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.

Stores along Beachland Blvd., Cardinal Drive and Ocean Drive, as well as The Village shops all participated to make this day a huge success.

OBA Merchants proudly presented the $8,700 check to Nancy Madsen, Director of the Treasure Coast Division of the American Cancer Society.
