Eli Lilly & Co. assists Senior Resource Association

VERO BEACH — Each year Eli Lilly & Co. has a Global Day of Service with employees from around the world contributing thousands of hours to enhance the quality of life in their communities.  Although their employees regularly donate time and energy to charitable causes, during this one day they do it all at once around the globe.

This year Lilly employees from Daytona to Miami chose the Senior Resource Association (SRA) as the recipient of this project, meeting at the Vero Beach facility to rake leaves, trim trees and paint the surrounding fence.

Karen Deigl, CEO and President of SRA commented “We were thrilled to have the wonderful group of volunteers from Eli Lilly helping out at our Vero Beach location. The operational money they saved us can instead go towards our programs here at SRA.”

Some of the programs at the Senior Resource Association include Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Services, Senior Center Activities and Transportation.

Eli Lilly & Company is the 10th largest pharmaceutical company in the world and was recently recognized by the National Hispanic Council on Aging for Ongoing Commitment to the Health of Older Adults.
