Children of Eden to be presented at VBHS

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach High School Drama Department presents their fall musical “Children of Eden” on Saturday, November 20 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, November 21 at 7:00 pm in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.

With Stage Direction by Dee Rose Imbro, Musical Direction by Karen Wiggins and Choreography by Andrew Currie, this production involves nearly one hundred hard-working and talented students, including a live orchestra accompaniment.

Featuring the VBHS Theatre Ensemble and presented through special arrangement through Music Theatre International. The Children of Eden Book was written by John Caird, Music & Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, based on a concept by Charles Lisanby.

From Stephen Schwartz (“Godspell” and “Pippin”) and John Caird (“Les Miserables”) comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith… not to mention centuries of unresolved family business!

Freely based on the story of Genesis, “Children Of Eden” is a frank, heartfelt and often humorous examination of the age-old conflict between parents and children. Adam, Eve, Noah and the “Father” who created them, deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message: that “the hardest part of love… is letting go.”

Individual tickets are $10 for the upper Mezzanine level and $12 for the lower orchestra level. All seating is reserved.
