World Art Exhibition benefits Sun Up and Abilities Resource Center

VERO BEACH — The Sun Up Center and Abilities Resource Center of Indian River County are kicking off a World Art Exhibition with an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3 at the Costa d’Este Beach Resort.  This is the first of many art events to follow in this 2010-11 season, to benefit agencies for people with developmental disabilities.

The week-long exhibition entitled “Miradas,” features the photographic art of Columbian artist Harold Bayona Esguerra.  Loosely translated, miradas means to gaze or look at the face of someone, and Esguerra describes his exhibition as, “A journey through the lens beyond the Colombian coast to explore human culture and emotions.”

The cost is $25 per person and World Art proceeds will be shared with the two nonprofit agencies, Sun Up and ARC.
