Founder of the Emancipation Network to speak on Oct. 22

VERO BEACH — Sarah Symons, founder of the Emancipation Network:  Fighting Slavery with Empowerment will be in Vero Beach on Friday, October 22 speaking at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship about her efforts to help women sold into slavery TODAY as a result of human trafficking. She is speaking as part of a potluck speaker series. There is no fee. The Fair Trade store at the church will be selling products made by survivors.

Schedule:

4 p.m. – Sale of goods made by survivors

6 p.m. – Social hour

6:45 p.m. – Potluck dinner — Bring a dish to share.

7:30 p.m. – Speaker’s presentation
