Saint Edward’s Homecoming Court Crowned

VERO BEACH — Saint Edward’s Seniors Meagan Mayo and Randy Tilton, both of Vero Beach, were crowned Homecoming King and Queen and together with their court, graced the football field at Saint Edward’s Homecoming Football game on October 8th.

Meagan is a recipient of the prestigious National Merit Scholar Program as a Commended Scholar and was selected into the National Honor Society as a sophomore. She has been involved in Volleyball, Swimming and Crew teams throughout her high school career and received the Coach’s Award last spring while rowing for the Crew Team. Some of her volunteer events included beach clean-ups and relay For Life.  She has assisted at the Saint Edward’s ExCEL summer camp and has helped with coaching at many of the sports camps. Meagan has also been very active as a member of the Good Samaritan Club and the Environmental Club.

Randy has been on the Honor Roll every semester since 2007.  He has been a member of the Varsity Soccer Team all 4 years in which they won the District Championship twice.  Last season he was named to the All Area Boys Honorable Mention Team and was selected as the Athlete of the Month

here at Saint Edward’s.  He has also been a member of the Varsity Baseball Team the last 3 years.  In the community, Randy volunteers regularly with the Soccer Special Olympics, the Hibiscus Children’s

Center and the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute.  Randy has participated in many Saint Edward’s Club activities including Severe Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee and is currently enjoying the Indoor Soccer Club.

Joining Meagan and Randy on the court were Seniors Dee Humphrey, Chandler MacWilliam and Cory Deal of Vero Beach, and Divya Korlipara of Port Saint Lucie,. These ladies were escorted by Seniors Max Lipkin, Jon Alerte, Eddie Moor, and Collier Proctor, all of Vero Beach. Junior members of the court were Allison Ryan and Jack Santini, both of Vero Beach. Sophomore members were Stephanie Kane and Samuel Moore, both of Vero Beach. The Freshman members of the court were Madison Temple and Aaron McGee, both of Vero Beach.
