John’s Island Course featured draw for St. Edward’s Golf Tournament

VERO BEACH – On Saturday, October 16 the Sports Association of Saint Edward’s School will hold a Golf Tournament at the John’s Island Club West Course to benefit the athletic programs of the School. The tournament begins with 7:30 a.m. registration and continental breakfast, followed by a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start, and concludes with lunch and prizes. The entry fee of $200 per player includes the continental breakfast, practice balls, greens fees, cart fees, mementos, prizes and lunch.

The tournament is based on four person teams playing a best ball format, based on full handicap, and Mulligans will be available at registration.  Teams may consist of Mixed, Men’s, Ladies or Alumni.

The tournament’s corporate sponsor is George E. Warren Corp and a Pathfinder 2200 TRS boat donated by Maverick Boat Company is the hole-in-one prize. Tournament chairs are Susan and Scott Deal.

Saint Edward’s School is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (www.fhsaa.org) and competes interscholastically in both the Upper and Middle School Divisions. The Saint Edward’s School Department of Athletics sponsors 22 interscholastic sports which encompass 53 teams

in the Upper and Middle Schools. The 22 athletic programs consist of 11 boys’ sports and 11 girls’ sports. The Lower School participates in Intramural athletics in a variety of sports.
