Linda Jean Rooney, 61, died Sept. 10, 2010, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
She was born in Amityville, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach since 2001, coming from Bath, Maine. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, George Rooney, of Vero Beach; sons, Earl Rooney, of North Monmouth, Maine, Geoffrey Rooney, of Harpswell, Maine, and John Rooney, of Lewiston, Maine; daughter, Lori Rooney, of Wilmington, N.C.; mother, Bertha Freeman, of Palmer Lake, Colo.; brothers, Karl Freeman, of Palmer Lake, John Freeman, of Arizona, and Mark Freeman; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 17 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with Dr. Charles Lever of the First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach, presiding.
