IRGS announces its fall schedule

VERO BEACH — The Board of Directors of the Indian River Genealogical Society has announced its schedule of programs for this fall. All general meetings of the IRGS are free and open to the public.  Monthly meetings are held at 9:30 a.m. in the large first floor conference room of the Indian River County Main Library, on second Tuesdays, September through May.  The library is located at1600 21st Street, Vero Beach.

September 14: Hooligans, Scamps & Rascals in the Family.  Members panel will reveal secrets about their families’ black sheep

October 12:  Indian River County History & Book Debut.  Ellen Stanley will preview her newly published book, a collection of photos and stories about IRC from the late 1800s to 1930

November 9:  Southern Indian Wars, Unveiling of the Rustin Military Book Collection & Celebration of Veterans Day.  Mitch Brown’s program will be followed by special presentations and an Open House in the Genealogy & Florida Archives Department

December 14:  Talent Through the Years.  Join members to celebrate the holidays with art, music and refreshments made from traditions passed down from ancestors
