Gary J. Anthony, 60, died Sept. 1, 2010, at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville.
He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for 37 years coming from Fairfield, Conn. Anthony was a grove owner and also the owner of Vero Auto Mart, the Bamboo Lounge, Nice Guy Bail Bonds and was a Real Estate Agent.
He served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam.
Survivors include his son, Gary J. Anthony, II, of Vero Beach; daughters, Kathleen Wilson, of Vero Beach, Sarah Meehan, of Nixa, Mo., Michael Anthony, of Vero Beach, Jessica Willis, of Vero Beach, six grandchildren.
Anthony was preceded in death by his son Vincent J. Anthony.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1401 21st Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A Memorial Mass will be held at noon on Sept. 4 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Crestlawn Cemetery at a later date.
