SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 17th Annual Lifestyle & Media Auction to be on Thursday, September 16 at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Sponsored in part by the Sebastian River Medical Center and Money Mailer Magazine, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will begin at 6 p.m.
To keep the evening fun and moving along, Emcee duties will be filled by Hamp Elliot from 93.7 The Breeze Radio, later joined by Auctioneer Wesley Davis during the Live Auction segment at 7 p.m. The event is designed to provide advertising opportunities to businesses and organizations who want to increase their exposure in the marketplace, through a variety of media and promotional venues donated by professional marketing, social media and advertising experts as well as area media outlets. The Chamber expects representatives from more than 100 businesses and organizations in Vero Beach and Sebastian to attend.
This year they have added Lifestyle elements to the live auction that will include trips, theatre and dance lessons, exercise and golf membership packages, art donated by area artists and more. This event will also offer a wide array of always popular Silent Auction items.
“After 16 years of holding this Auction, we decided to spice it up with a whole lot more than simply media items this year,” shares Beth Mitchell, Executive Director of the Sebastian Chamber. “We have many unexpected items to Auction off; some that will enhance a full marketing program and others that will allow everyone to take a chance at exciting lifestyle items. As a matter of fact, we encourage any area resident interested in a fun time and the opportunity to bid on a very wide array of auction items to join us. You don’t need to be a member of the business community to avail yourself of a great evening.”
Attendees will enjoy an added element of entertainment that includes a Salsa performance by the 14th Avenue Dance Studio in Vero Beach, a makeover demo by Pamela Bennett of Senegence Cosmetics, a mini look at Internet Marketing Strategies courtesy of Adspoken.com, live music by Mike & Kayte’s Acoustic Pop Tour and to the highest bidder, a personalization on a painting by Sebastian’s celebrated artist, Barbara Sharp.
Cost to attend is $5 for Sebastian Chamber Members and $10 for Non-Members.
