Summerfest at Pointe West called due to rain

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Cultural Council of Indian River County has called off its “Summerfest: The Sounds and Flavors of Mont Blanc” Sunday due to the inclement weather.

The festival, to be located at Heritage Park at Pointe West, was to feature a free 90-minute concert by the Mont Blanc Chamber Orchestra, along with a food and wine sampling from France, Switzerland and Italy.

Whether organizers will reschedule the festival remains unknown. This is the second time bad weather has forced the concert to be called. In July, rains from Tropical Storm Bonnie postponed Summerfest to today.
