Deputies need public’s help to identify phony-money passers

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying two people authorities believe passed fake $100 bills at Wal-Mart last weekend.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the two pictured subjects bought six money orders worth $2,900 at Wal-Mart using phony money. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Milo Thornton at the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office by calling (772) 978-6111 or Dispatch at (772) 978-6240 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS. There is a $1,000 reward available through Crime Stoppers.
