Anthony Maurice La Rosa, 19, died July 25, 2010. He was lifetime resident of Sebastian.
La Rosa was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a member of the Boy Scouts. He was a 2009 graduate of Sebastian River High School and the recipient of the Dollars for Scholars Scholarship.
He was a member of the Sebastian River High School Rowing Team and a full-time student of Indian River State College pursuing a degree in pre-dentistry.
Survivors include his parents, Peter and Rene La Rosa; brother, Nicholas La Rosa; grandparents, Gunther and Joanna Hueneke, of Vero Beach, and grandmother, Joan La Rosa, of Sebastian.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Maurice “Rocky” La Rosa.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is being established in memory of Anthony La Rosa. You may send your donations to 124 Friar Court, Sebastian, FL 32958 in c/o Pete and Rene La Rosa.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on July 30, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father Michael Martin, officiating.
