HAVE CAMERA: Right place at the right time?

Recently I photographed another crash. Yet again in my career I was in the right place at the right time.

It always amazes me when I encounter news when I’m not looking for it and don’t even have the police scanner on me.

It almost makes me think I’ve got a tuning fork in my bag for news situations. This time it was a crash on SR 60.

I was ahead of the ambulance when it happened five cars in front of me.

Like everyone else I pulled off to the side of the road. Unlike everyone else, I turned off my car slipped my press credentials on my dashboard and went to work.

It’s not an enjoyable thing to photograph. At ever wreck I cover I just hope for the best for the person and stay out of the emergency responders way.

Here’s hoping that everyone drives safely this week.
