INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Erin Grall, candidate for State House District 29, proudly accepted key endorsements from the Florida Police Benevolent Association and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association on July 1st.  The PBA’s membership is comprised of more than 36,000 police officers, highway patrol troopers, state law enforcement officers, state corrections officers, and state correctional probation officers.Grall gained their support for her continued commitment to law enforcement in our region and throughout Florida.  “Fighting crime and fighting fires are some of the most dangerous jobs in America.  It is imperative that our state support the needs of our first responders,” said Grall when asked for a statement about her PBA backing.The race for the District 29 House seat is an open primary and all party affiliations will be able to vote in this race on August 24th.  For more information on the Erin Grall campaign for State House District 29 and her views on the issues, please visit www.ErinGrall.com.

Sheriff’s candidates say George Floyd’s death, national response will be an issue in their race

All five candidates for sheriff say the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last month and subsequent nationwide protests will be an issue in the race here, and they expect to be asked about it as they campaign. Two of them – Fellsmere Police Chief Keith Touchberry and retired Sheriff’s Capt.
