Marion (Munster) Mutlick, 87, Vero Beach

Marion (Munster) Mutlick, 87, died June 29, 2010, at the Florida Baptist Retirement Center in Vero Beach.

She was born in Waltham, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Naples.

Survivors include her daughters, Sonia Ellis, of Vero Beach, Barbara Cook of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Karen Bixler of Fairfax, Va.; sons, John Mutlick of Spencer, Mass., and Russell Forkey of Boca Raton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Mutlick.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by National Cremation, Rockledge.

VERO BEACH — While chilly temperatures caused a drop in beach attendance last month, lifeguards are happy to report that there were no water rescues that occurred in January. ‘No swimming’ advisory lifted for beaches, officials say

VERO BEACH — Authorities lifted a 'no swimming' advisory for three local beaches Tuesday after test samples showed that bacteria returned to normal levels, health department and city officials said. The result means it was safe to return to the water Tuesday, Vero Beach city officials said. The advisory - which was in place for nearly a week - was issued Jan. 31 for South Beach, Humiston Beach and Sexton Plaza Beach after high levels of fecal-related bacteria were reported at the locations. Howle, Zudans win in Vero; Kinchen, McPartlan, Iovino in Sebastian

All results are in for the Vero Beach and Sebastian municipal elections. Voters have returned Harry Howle to the Vero Beach Council and Bob McPartlan and Linda Kinchen to the Sebastian Council. Val Zudans will join Howle on the Vero Council, while Albert Iovino will round out the last of three seats up for grabs on the Sebastian Council.
