Sebastian Mayor Gillmor to run for council seat again

SEBASTIAN – Sebastian Mayor Richard Gillmor will be running to keep his seat on the City Council dais this November. He is the first to pre-qualify for the election, according to City Clerk Sally Maio.

The qualifying period for the Sebastian City Council election is from Aug. 19 to Sept. 3.

Both Mayor Gillmor and Vice Mayor Jim Hill’s seats are up for grabs in the Nov. 2 general election.

Hill has not yet announced his intent to run for re-election.

Sebastian Council candidates run citywide for 2-yer terms. The race is non-partisan.
