Lawrence “Larry” Lee Reeves, 69, died June 15, 2010, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
He was born in Ashland, Ky., and lived in Ashland, coming from Vero Beach, where he was a longtime resident. He was an Army veteran. Prior to retirement, he was a welder.
He was a member of Holy Family Church, Ashland; Eagles Lodge 4067, Sebastian; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10210, Sebastian; the American Legion; and Moose Lodge of Micco.
He was a musician and served as vice president of the Sunshine State Country Music Association.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Janet Ramey Reeves of Ashland; son, William Scott Reeves of Vero Beach; daughter, Laura Jane Reeves of Ashland; sisters, Mahala Johnson, Artie Withrow and Sara Ramey, all of Ashland; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father, Alonzo G. Reeves; mother, Nannie Horr; stepfather, Arthur Horr; and sister, Ruby Jean Reeves.
