Maxine ‘Mimi’ Quade Scott, 83, Sebastian

Maxine “Mimi” Quade Scott, 83, died June 9, 2010.

She was born in Rhinelander, Wis. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh and was a kindergarten teacher for many years before leaving to raise her family.

She was an active Episcopalian and served as a lay Eucharistic minister. She trained acolytes, taught Sunday school and was an active member of the choir at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, Sebastian.

Survivors include her husband of more than 59 years, Donald R. Scott; daughter, Debora Alverson; sons, Mike Scott, Gregg Scott and David Scott; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Quade.
