VERO BEACH — On Friday, June 25 at 6 pm, acclaimed restaurateur and author Eric Bromberg, of the Bromberg Brothers, will be at the Vero Beach Book Center to present the book, Bromberg Brothers Blue Ribbon Cookbook: Better Home Cooking, by Bruce Bromberg, Eric Bromberg, and Melissa Clark.
Eric and Bruce Bromberg, acclaimed chefs and founders of New York’s popular Blue Ribbon restaurants, are experts at bringing delicious home cooking-style dishes into their restaurants, and now, in Bromberg Brothers Blue Ribbon Cookbook: Better Home Cooking (Clarkson Potter Publishers; April 6, 2010), they have brought their most successful recipes back to the home cook.
In the New York food scene, the Blue Ribbon restaurants have dared to infuse their menus with timeless and mouthwatering recipes that are easy and fun to make. Eric and Bruce Bromberg are the brothers who started it all, and after eighteen successful years in the restaurant business, they are finally sharing their secrets to simple yet special first-class home cooking, with recipes that are designed and tested to work in anyone’s home kitchen.
Eric and Bruce first teamed up and opened Blue Ribbon together in 1992. After training at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school and kitchens in France and New York, the Bromberg brothers decided to open a restaurant that was exactly what they wanted in a place to dine. The idea was to create a high quality establishment that focused on the comfort and simplicity of well cooked fresh and high quality foods and ingredients.
Inspired by their restaurant experience and exchanges with legendary chefs and friends, the Bromberg Brothers Blue Ribbon Cookbook is filled with simple yet elegant recipes and wisdom for the home cook, honed from lessons at Le Cordon Bleu, dishes they loved at their favorite childhood eateries, and old family recipes they make in their own home kitchens.
With nine Blue Ribbon locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn and a tenth on the way, Eric and Bruce Bromberg know how to embrace the very best in home cooking.
Book price is $35.
