Robert Richard Marsh, Sr., 73, of Vero Beach, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born Oct. 28, 1936 in Lawrence, Mass., and moved to Vero Beach nine years ago from Tewksbury, Mass.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Tewksbury and served in the US Army.
He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, the Tewksbury Retirees Association, the Tewksbury – Wilmington Elks Lodge and the DAV.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Priscilla Marsh of Vero Beach; son Robert Marsh, Jr of Deltona; daughter Christine Marsh of Vero Beach; sister Dorothea Tisdell of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; five grandchildren Lance Faulkner, Ashlee Marsh, Caitlyn Marsh, Mia Owens, and Layla Owens; two great-granddaughters Savannah and Sadie Faulkner; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great- grandnieces and great-grandnephews in the Massachusetts area; and his beloved dog Princess Fionna.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. June 4, 2010 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated noon, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach with Military Honors by VFW Post 3918.
