New addiction treatment center opens

VERO BEACH – Gate Lodge Hanley Center at Vero Beach, a 20-bed addiction treatment center on the Indian River Medical Center campus, has begun accepting clients, filling in the void when Hanley Hall closed last September. Hanley Hall, which offered a 29-day program for $7,800, closed when donor funding which helped defray costs, dried up. The Gate Lodge Hanley Center’s 28-day program, which does not accept insurance and is based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous, will cost $4,200.

Gate Lodge Hanley Center is located on the former site of Hanley Hall. There is no affiliation between the two organizations.”Our mission at Hanley Center is to give hope to individuals, families and communities affected by the disease of addiction,” said Michael Counes, the executive managing director of Gate Lodge Hanley Center at Vero Beach. “It has been our longtime goal to carry out that mission in Vero, the hometown of Hanley Center’s founder and longstanding board member, Mary Jane Hanley.”For more information, please visit www.hanleycenter.org or call 866-4HANLEY (866-442-6539
