Youth Guidance is seeking summer camp funds

VERO BEACH — Help Youth Guidance reach their goal during their 2010 Summer Camp Campaign.  Youth Guidance will be sending nearly 200 children to summer camps this year, at a cost of more than $56,000.  These at-risk youth will have a fun and safe place to go during the day with the help and support from our community.

The Tropical Night Luau will be held Saturday, June 5 from 7 to 11:00 pm, at the Quail Valley River Club.  All proceeds from this event will go directly toward providing summer camps and other year round activities for the children in Youth Guidance.

In conjunction with this annual fundraiser, Youth Guidance will have their summer camp drive to raise additional monies to cover the costs of the camps the children attend.  Your donation of $75 will enable a child to attend one week of summer camp.

Many of these children stay home by themselves without these camp scholarships.  The single parents of the children we serve work one or two low income jobs just to make ends meet.  They do not have surplus funds to provide summer programs for their children.  Summer camp provides a healthy, enriching alternative to spending the long summer months home alone, unsupervised, with few opportunities for personal growth.

Please give a child an exciting, secure and unforgettable summer by donating today!
