James Henry Lile, 73, Vero Beach

James Henry Lile, 73, died May 12, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.

He was born in Detroit and lived in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Miami. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps.

Before retirement, he worked for Bill Mancini Painting Contractor in Vero Beach. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Vero Beach Veterans and the American Legion in Vero Beach.

Survivors include his caregiver, Angela Holewinski of Vero Beach.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. May 22 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie in Vero Beach.

Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach. A guest book may be signed at seawindsfh.com/obit.php.

VERO BEACH — While chilly temperatures caused a drop in beach attendance last month, lifeguards are happy to report that there were no water rescues that occurred in January. ‘Tragic, sudden loss,’ – Memorials emerge for teen killed in ATV crash

With the sudden death of Sebastian River High School student Jake Beecher still fresh, family, friends, teammates and coaches continue to come to terms with the tragic crash that took his life. ‘No swimming’ advisory lifted for beaches, officials say

VERO BEACH — Authorities lifted a 'no swimming' advisory for three local beaches Tuesday after test samples showed that bacteria returned to normal levels, health department and city officials said. The result means it was safe to return to the water Tuesday, Vero Beach city officials said.
