Sheila V. Mackenzie, 91, died May 10, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. She was born in Cairo, Egypt, and lived in Vero Beach since the early 1970s, coming from Greenwich, Conn. She worked for the British government during World War II and later became an American citizen. She taught French in schools in Los Angeles and Connecticut for many years. She was a 20-year volunteer for Indian River Medical Center.Graveside services will be private in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach. A guest book is available at sea windsfh.com/obit.php.
