Public input sought for planning future transportation needs

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River Metropolitan Planning Organization is in the process of developing a multimodal long range transportation plan for the county. The organization needs to hear from the public so it can incorporate the generated ideas, goals and values.

“Instead of complaining about the traffic, this is your chance to be heard and to become part of the solution in planning a green and sustainable Indian River County,” MPO members said. The MPO will be holding five meetings this month on Monday, May 24, and Tuesday, May 25, throughout the county. Those who wish to participate but cannot attend a meeting may submit their comments via the MPO’s Web site, www.GreenIRC2035.org or call Phil Matson, at (772) 226-1455.
