Indian River Shores City Manager takes post in Texas

INDIAN RIVER SHORES — Indian River Shores Town Manager Robert Bradshaw has resigned his position to return to his Texas roots in Port Aransas, according to published reports.Bradshaw reached an agreement with the Port Aransas City Council this past Monday, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reported. Port Aransas is a town of 3,775 located on 8 miles of a barrier island known as Mustang Island in south Texas.

Port Aransas is about 30 miles east of Corpus Christi and lists itself on its Web site as the “premier vacation destination for beach, sun and family fun!” Bradshaw served nearly eight years as City Manager for Indian River Shores. He is expected to start his $109,000 a year job in June.Bradshaw did not immediately return calls to his office.
