Vero Beach woman arrested in undercover drug buy-bust

VERO BEACH – A Vero Beach woman is in jail with bail set at $15,000 after authorities say she agreed to sell 100 oxycodone pills to an undercover officer for $1,000.

The Vero Beach Police Department arrested 21-year-old Andrea Gonsky, of 39th Court SW, in the area of the 1900 block of 42nd Avenue on Friday, April 23. Gonsky faces a felony charge of trafficking in oxycodone.

According to the police department, Gonsky and another person met the officer at the predetermined location but then decided not to complete the sale.

As they drove away from the location, they were pulled over and questioned by detectives, the police department said. Gonsky gave them permission to search her purse, where they found an unmarked vial containing 100 oxycodone pills.

Gonsky was then placed under arrest. Charges are pending against the other, as of yet unidentified person in the vehicle, police said.
